SIAR PUBLICATIONS – Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

SIAR PUBLICATIONS is committed to ensuring the integrity of the academic record. This Withdrawal and Retraction Policy outlines the procedures and conditions under which a manuscript or published article may be withdrawn or retracted.

1. Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before acceptance. Such requests must be made formally in writing and include a clear reason for the withdrawal. Once a manuscript has been accepted and is in production, withdrawal is generally not permitted except in exceptional cases approved by the editorial board.

  • Withdrawal requests must be acknowledged by all co-authors.
  • Unjustified withdrawal after peer review may be deemed unethical and could result in sanctions of $20 review fees or blacklisting of the authors by SIAR PUBLICATIONS.

2. Article Retraction

Published articles may be retracted under the following circumstances:

  • Discovery of serious errors or inaccuracies that affect the study’s findings or conclusions.
  • Evidence of research misconduct (e.g., fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism).
  • Duplicate publication without proper citation or justification.
  • Ethical breaches, such as unethical research or conflicts of interest not disclosed.

Retractions will be clearly labeled and linked to the original article. The retracted article will remain in the public domain but marked accordingly to maintain the scholarly record. In such cases, authors forfeit the article processing fees and there shall be no refunds for such fees.

3. Corrections and Errata

When minor errors are identified that do not compromise the overall results or conclusions, a correction (erratum) may be issued.

  • Corrections will be linked to the original article and clearly state the nature of the error and the correction made.

4. Editorial Responsibility

The editorial board of SIAR PUBLICATIONS is responsible for evaluating requests for withdrawal, retraction, or correction, and for ensuring all actions are taken transparently, consistently, and in line with international publishing standards.
