Waiver Policy and Discounts

SIAR Publications is committed to promoting inclusive and accessible scholarly publishing, particularly for researchers facing financial limitations. To support this commitment, we provide partial waivers and publication discounts on article processing charges (APCs) under the following conditions:

Eligibility for Partial Waivers

• Researchers based in low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as recognized by international bodies such as the World Bank.
• Early-career researchers, postgraduate students, or independent scholars without external funding.
• Authors experiencing financial hardship or limited institutional support.

Note: All waiver requests must be made at the time of manuscript submission or shortly thereafter.

Available Discount Opportunities

• Group/Institutional Submissions: Departments or institutions submitting five (5) or more manuscripts simultaneously may qualify for discounted APCs.
• Partner Institutions: Authors affiliated with partner institutions or organizations may be eligible for pre-negotiated publication discounts.
• Editorial Nominations: Members of the SIAR Publications editorial board may nominate authors for limited discount opportunities.

Application Process

1. Authors must submit a formal request via email to the editorial office.
2. The request should include the manuscript ID (if available), author details, and a brief explanation of the need for financial assistance.
3. Each application will be reviewed individually by the editorial team, and approval is granted at the discretion of SIAR Publications management.

Important Note:
All waiver and discount requests are handled with confidentiality and will not influence the peer review process or the final editorial decision.
